This is the third part in a series of images and interviews about how life has changed (or not) during the COVID-19 quarantine. The purpose is to show how we’re all in this together and we’re not all that dissimilar.
Olivia Varden is a student in her first year of university, as well as a frequent model for me.
Q. How has the stay-home order changed your day-to-day life?
A. It’s really taught me how to look inward. I’ve been meditating and journaling a lot more because it’s one of the only ways to really cope with everything right now. For me, just like a lot of people, a lot of things are up in the air, so I can only really lean into myself.

Q. What’s your silver lining?
A. I think the silver lining to it all is what I’ve learned about myself. I’m so used to being so busy and letting my mind constantly run that I never really get to just take things in like I should. Quarantine forced me to slow down and it’s been hard at times, but I’m understanding some things now that I don’t think I would’ve been able to get before it all happened.

Olivia is the gorgeous young lady having tea underwater on this blog’s header. 🙂 Looking forward to working with her even more once we get through our isolation.
